2007 Accomplishments
Collected, distributed or re-directed 99,000,000 pounds of food and
food products
Gave away 9 vehicles (including 6 buses) to needy ministries, pastors
and clients
Hurricane Relief: AMH continued to provide relief and
support to the Greater Houston area. A large portion of the recipients were repeat clients.
We supported numerous outreaches in the greater Houston area in conjunction
with other churches and ministries.
A number of trips were made to Brownsville, Mission, and McAllen to minister
to the areas across the Mexican border.
Back to School: School supplies were given to about 100 students.
AMH also worked with church health fairs and several apartment outreaches.
Thanksgiving: AMH helped feed needy families by passing out over
600 food parcels at the warehouse.
Christmas: A toy drive was sponsored by Kroger store at
Belway 8 and Sabo Road. This allowed us to provide 2 toys each for 3,019 children. Over
20 volunteers responded to our call. 350 food parcels were passed out to needy families and
8,000 pounds of turkey breast were distributed.
Houston Marathon: 9 people participated in the Houston Marathon to raise funds for AMH. Pat
Berg placed 2nd overall in fundraising.
The 24' box truck was flooded during the summer floods. Consequently,
we were able to pay it off and have the engine rebuilt.
We distributed 19,000 English and Spanish tracts and approximately
7.500 English and Spanish Bibles.
Over 3,200 adult salvations were prayed through our ministry
and our ministry netword.
AMH received proclamation from the city of Houston and the state
of Texas commending AMH and it's volunteers for 15 years of service. |
