Operation Christmas Blessing

Operation Christmas Blessing is the single largest event of our operating year. This project is very special to Gordon. Years before Action Ministries Houston came into existence, Gordon would go to hospitals in Houston to play Santa and bring a little joy to the children of Houston that would call a hospital bed home for the holidays. In the first year of existence, Action Ministries Houston made Operation Christmas Blessing a major part of the ongoing ministry in Houston. In November of each year, the ministry mails out support letters for this project. The money raised is used to buy gifts and food for families who have no other way of having Christmas. The ministry also has adopted a family drug rehab center just outside of Houston. On Christmas morning, Gordon and Pat provide gifts for the children and a Christmas Meal for all the families. Each year, the ministry also provides Bibles along with those gifts and extends the message of what Christmas is about, the birth of the Messiah.

This project blesses hundreds of children in Houston. The main purpose is to provide the gift of love that God extended through His Son, Jesus. If that takes a meal and a gift to open the door for this message, then that is what Action Ministries Houston will do.
